What's in a number?

Like you we're passionate about natural skincare and are here to show you how simple DIY really is! We have made it extra easy to make your own natural skincare products by creating a unique numbering system just for you. Our range of natural ingredients are organised into eight easy categories, each with a specific starting number and colour.

Not only this but you can be assured that behind the number our ethos of 'discovering better' has been applied to each step of the journey. From the way we source the ingredients working directly with growers across the world to the eco-friendly packing that protects them all the way to your door.

It's never been easier to make your own and it's not only fun, you can be confident in the products you are using knowing exactly what you are putting on your skin. Bath bombs, body butters, face scrubs, beard oils, the sky is the limit and we've got you covered.

100-1999 Essential Oils

Rosemary Organic Essential Oils

All our essential oils have orange numbers that start with a 1 and there are many to choose from!

These oils are known for their distinctive aromas and are highly concentrated - use them in recipes for their beneficial properties or to add fragrance.

200-299 Carrier Oils

Argan Virgin Organic Oil

Our carrier oils, which are sometimes referred to as vegetable oils, have aqua numbers and all start with a 2.

These oils are extracted from the nuts or seeds of a plant and have a subtle fragrance. They are also often rich in fatty acids and vitamins, making them the perfect base for homemade recipes.

Some carrier oils are offered as both 'virgin' and 'refined' varieties, with refined oils likely to have a lighter scent and colour.

These super versatile oils are a perfect base for massage oils, facial serums, hair masks and beard oils!

300-399 Butters and Waxes

Shea Butter

The butters and waxes in our range have yellow numbers and start with a 3.

They are usually solid at room temperature, and along with carrier oils, they provide a great base for a number or recipes.

If you want to recreate the smooth and creamy consistency found in body butters, this is the perfect place to start.

400-499 Salts and Soap

Himalayan Pink Salt

Salts and soaps are all categorised with blue numbers and all start with a 4.

If you want to have a go at whipping up your own exfoliating body scrub or fragrant bath salts, our salt products provide the perfect base.

Alternatively, if you're interested in making homemade body wash or hand soap our Castile Soap is a must have ingredient.

500-599 Clays and Powders

Citric acid

All clays and powders have a coral number and start with a 5.

Clays act as the perfect base for homemade facemasks, exfoliating and absorbing oil from the skin and tightening pores.

Powder products including citric acid and sodium bicarbonate are a key ingredient for many recipes such as homemade bath bombs.

600-699 Floral waters

Rose Floral water

Our floral waters have pink numbers and start with a 6.

They are easily recognisable with delicate floral fragrances and work well as natural facial toners or combined with other ingredients in lotion and cream recipes.

700-799 Bases and Gels

Aloe Vera Gel

Bases and Gels are all categorised with mint numbers and start with a 7.

This category is full of all kinds of products which can be used as bases in various recipes, one of the most popular being aloe vera.

800-899 'Made by You' Extras

Vitamin E

All our Made By You extras are categorised with a lime number and start with an 8.

You'll find everything you need to give your recipes that extra flourish in this category, including Natural Vitamin E and Vegetable Glycerine.

Organic vs Non Organic

Organic vs Non Organic

It's important for us to provide as much choice as possible, which is why we offer both an extensive range of Soil Association certified organic products, and non-organic alternatives.

Just so you know, organic and non-organic versions of the same product will have the same number but with different colour labels - if you're looking for organic options, keep an eye out for the Soil Association logo which will be displayed clearly on the front of the packaging.
