What were your first impressions of the Packaging Innovations Show?
My first impressions were great, a warm welcome from staff, a professional lively atmosphere, very clear floor plans to navigate and a huge variation of stalls keen to want to show their products and new innovations.
What sort of packaging were you hoping to find at the show?
We were particularly interested in inserts for our current gift boxes and ribbon. We were also keen on viewing printed gift boxes, new eco bottles and multilingual labels.
Did you find the packaging you were looking for?
Yes we found 4 companies that dealt with the type of inserts suitable for our gift sets and 1 company that potentially could help us with our ribbon solution. We also were educated on new eco bottles, boxes and printed labels.
What were the highlights of the show for you?
I would say the company Spectra stood out for me, they were very impressive. They had a huge range of exciting bottles and they were very enthusiastic on the subject of being eco-friendly. The 'green' issue seems to stream throughout their company as a whole and we were explained the steps they are making to reduce their carbon footprint. Very impressed.
Who were your top three favourite exhibitors?
Spectra- Bottles Curtis- Carton Specialists Enkev- Coconut packaging
Are Naissance looking to increase the sustainability of their packaging?
I would like to think yes to that question. As our key selling point of Naissance is being natural' I think it's our responsibility to source the most eco-friendly packaging as we can to tie into our natural ethos.
Why do you consider it important to integrate cleaner and greener packaging for Naissance products?
Any help Naissance can achieve in our packaging to reduce the carbon footprint and our impact on the enviroment can only be a good thing.
Are there any pros or cons when looking into a greener packaging solution?
Yes the cons were strongly evident throughout the show and seminars in that eco-friendly, recyclable, biodegradable products etc are more expensive. The pros to greener packaging I'm hoping will be that our customers feel encouraged that we and they are making a conscious effort and difference in protecting our environment.
Do you have any hints or secrets that you can disclose about the future of Naissance packaging?
With the Gift Set Team's efforts leaning towards protecting our environment I'm sure we will have some great exciting eco-friendly packaging and new gift sets planned for the future. Along with our loyal Naissance customers we can make a difference to a greener future

I'm glad you're looking at alternative and greener packing as I was disappointed recently when an order from you was packed with polystyrene beans. I'm sure that shredded recycled paper cannot be much more expensive? There is also the problem of where to dispose of the polystyrene packing.
Thanks for good quality and value!
