Fizzy Toilet Bombs

Cleaning the bathroom is always at the top of everyone's to-do list but, for some mysterious reasons, we always avoid doing that. Even when we do it, the smell of bleach is unbearable, and it can cause serious damage to our toilets and the environment. What if we told you there is an easy and quick way (but most of all natural) to clean the toilet and leave a fresh smell? Read on to find out how!

The recipe below will make 12 toilet bombs.

What you will need

220g Sodium Bicarbonate (#504)
110g Citric Acid (#501)
15ml Water
50 drops Pine Needle Scotch Essential Oil (#160)
50 drops Lemon Essential Oil (#103)
40 drops Spearmint Essential Oil (#165)

How to make

If you are already familiar with the bath bombs making, this is pretty much the same method.

Put the Sodium Bicarbonate and the Citric Acid in a bowl and start mixing them while adding the essential oils. We chose Pine Needle Scotch, Lemon and Spearmint thanks to their uplifting properties but also because they leave a fresh and clean scent in the room, but you can try mixing different essential oils and making your own blend. Once you have combined the powders and the essential oils, with a pipette or a spray bottle, start adding the water. As soon as you add the water to the mixture, it will start fizzing so keep stirring and try to be quick.

The final step, after having incorporated all the ingredients, is to move the mixture into several small moulds (if you don't have one, you can use your ice tray). Make sure you compact the mixture in the mould with the use of a spoon and leave it overnight.

Store your fizzy bombs in a jar and enjoy a clean bathroom!
