How to perfect your natural skincare routine
Springtime is the perfect time of year to revamp your skincare routine, but sometimes it can be tricky to know where to start.
We're taking you through our top tips for nailing the perfect regime so you can enjoy beautiful skin.
Wipe off your war paint
It's important to start your skincare routine with a clean face, but makeup has a way of hanging around when it's not wanted. Have a go at using our Soil Association certified virgin Coconut Oil to remove all traces - simply warm a pea-sized amount of oil between your fingers and massage it over your face and (gently) around your eyes before wiping off with a damp cotton pad or wash cloth.
Coconut oil is also incredibly gentle so works well for all skin types, meaning it's great for even the most sensitive of us.
Wash away your worries
Once you've removed your makeup, the next step should always be washing your face. This helps to sweep away debris as well as clearing dead cells so the products you use afterwards can really penetrate deeper and work their magic.
We'd recommend using a natural toner, such as rose floral water, to remove any final traces of dirt and grime and restore the natural pH balance of your skin.
While there's no need to get scrubbing every day, exfoliating a couple of times a week is perfect for maintaining a smooth complexion. It helps to remove debris set deep into pores making them appear smaller, and will also provide the perfect base for your makeup.
If you're skin is on the sensitive side make sure you don't use a scrub that's too coarse and always make gentle circular motions before wiping off with a warm cloth.
Simply mix some sugar or salt with your favourite carrier oil (we love using jojoba) for an easy at-home scrub.
Cold winter weather and dehydrating central heating can play havoc with your skin, so it's important to make sure you're replacing the lost moisture, both in the morning and evening.
With so many different carrier oils and essential oils available, it's never been easier to create your perfect personalised skin serum.
